Residents and Rainbow Troops Carry Out Mud Cleanup in RW 08 Rawasari

Rainbow Troops, together with representatives of the three pillars and residents of RW 08 Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, carried out a mud and waste cleanup along Jalan Pramuka Sari II on Sunday morning (2/1).

"...focused on clearing mud and trash from drainage channels,"

Rawasari Urban Village Head Fikri Arifin said the mud cleanup operation involved 100 joint personnel from the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Unit (PPSU), task forces from the Bina Marga Sub-agency, Parks and Urban Forest Agency (Tamhut), Environment Agency (LH), Water Resources (SDA), Transportation Agency, Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP).

Community participation was represented by members of the PKK women’s group, Jumantik cadres, the Community Early Warning Forum (FKDM), the Community Empowerment Institution (LMK), the City Council, as well as neighborhood (RT) and community unit (RW) officials.

“The community service activity focused on clearing mud and trash from drainage channels around Jalan Pramuka Sari II in RW 08 Rawasari,” Fikri said on Sunday (2/1).

He added that, in addition to cleaning the drains, officers also carried out pruning of trees considered at risk of falling along Jalan Pramuka Sari II.

“The pruning was done because the trees had become overgrown,” he said.

According to Fikri, joint personnel managed to remove around 20 cubic meters of mud and waste from the drainage channels.

“We hope residents will help maintain the results of this cleanup by disposing of waste properly, so the environment remains clean and the risk of flooding can be minimized,” he shared.
